Inferior customer service. Got a Tata Altroz in 2023 with a promise of a new service centre in Barmer. No information about the service centre is available to date. For service, I have to travel 200 km to Jodhpur, and no proper resolution is provided there either. The service expert said there was an issue with the battery sensor, and it's been two months, and still, no replacement has been given. The fit and finish of the car is also very poor, and their service gives a miserable experience.

I bought the Tata Punch Adventure Plus car on Dated 22.09.2025. Today it has been 39 days and I have not yet been given the Registration Certificate (RC) of the car. This is very surprising. When I was planning to buy a Tata Motors car, my friends and relatives told me that Tata's service is very poor. The online reviews were also poor, and this seems to be largely proven. Perhaps it was my mistake to trust Tata Motors. In comparison, the service provided by Maruti and Hyundai is much better. I will never recommend Tata Motors Car to anyone in the future. Thank you, Tata Motors.

The role of a Service Advisor is to provide proper guidance and resolve customer queries. Unfortunately, at this TATA service center, the advisors either don’t want to suggest solutions or simply don’t know them. I travelled 20 km only to find my car in the same condition, without any resolution. It’s disappointing that in Jodhpur, the second biggest city in Rajasthan, I still have to travel 140 km to another service center just to get proper service and solutions. Your experiences will be fine as long as you’re only going in for regular service and routine checks. But the moment an actual problem comes up with your car, that’s when you truly get a taste of the legendary TATA service. What makes it worse is that my extended family also owns TATA cars, and they too have had bitter experiences with the after-sales service. Because of this, I feel like I’ve developed a “TATA cars phobia” and would think 10 times before recommending a TATA car - purely due to the after-sales service experience.

I purchased a TATA SAFARI XZ+ from Autoprime Tata Jodhpur. Within a year of purchase, the vehicle developed a manufacturing defect in the body paint, showing visible peeling, pinholes, and uneven surface finish on the metal panels. Despite three separate repainting attempts by this so called authorised service centre, the defect persists. Each attempt by these ppl has caused additional damage to adjoining fibre components due to paint spillover, mishandling, and poor workmanship. Shockingly, instead of addressing the root cause, the service centre replaced vehicle doors with those taken from another vehicle -an irregular, unethical, and unacceptable act that amounts to tampering. Even the replaced doors exhibit defective finish, loose fitment, and improper alignment, leading to rattling during operation. Further, the fibre parts were replaced piecemeal, causing mismatched shades and deteriorated aesthetics. This uncoordinated approach has left the vehicle’s appearance inconsistent and far below factory standards. The service centre’s repeated delays appear intentional, seemingly designed to exhaust the vehicle’s warranty period. Once expired, I was informed that I would now have to bear the cost of further rectification. To add insult to injury, the service centre offered only a 10% discount on parts and a 20% discount on labour charges - despite the damage and defects having been caused entirely by their own negligence and poor workmanship. This so-called “discount” offer is highly unprofessional and unethical, as it effectively forces the consumer to pay for the service centre’s mistakes. Such behavior constitutes clear deficiency in service, unfair trade practice, and violation of consumer rights. Despite my patience and repeated follow-ups, the vehicle remains in a defective and unsatisfactory condition, eroding all confidence in Tata Motors’ service standards and quality assurance mechanisms. All Customer Care and Consumer Relation turned out to be not only useless but are hand in glove.
